Desi Rice Noodles


To make 70 GMs rice noodles

  • Ten cloves garlic

  • 5 red chillies 

  • 5 to 10 peppercorns 

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 star anise 

  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder

  • 1 tbs apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 50 gms each sliced

  • Yellow bell peppers 

  • Red bell peppers

  • Red cabbage 

  • Onions

  • Broccoli 


  • In a saucepan boil water sufficient enough to soak the rice noodles.

  • Soak the rice noodles for 3 minutes and drain.

  • Set aside.

  • In small sauce pan heat 1/2 cup of water and add the chillies and dry spices along with the vinegar. Boil it.

  • Let it cool. Add 5 cloves of and grind it to a paste.

  • In a wok add 5 gms of sesame oil and add the vegetables and stir fry on high heat.

  • Add in the remaining garlic( crushed).

  • Add in the chilli and spice paste and the soy sauce.

  • Add in the noodles.

  • Turn off the gas and mix well.

(Don’t re cook the noodles on flame as they could become a bit over cooked)

Your desi Chinese is ready to eat.
